GETTING
STARTED WITH OFFERFORGE
OfferForge South Africa
Publisher management
system is the interface you will use to
promote other companies products or
services
This guide will provide
you with an overview of how to
accomplish these tasks and and extra
monthly income online.
RUNNING OFFERFORGE CAMPAINS
Before you can begin
earning commissions, you will need to
find and select a campaign (or multiple
campaigns) to run on your web site. To
find a campaign, select the "Campaigns"
menu item from the menu bar, then select
"All Campaigns" from the menu drop down
box. This will list all of the campaigns
that are currently available for you to
earn commissions. There are three basic
types of campaigns.
- Cost-per-click
(CPC): You earn commissions with
CPC campaigns simply by providing a
link that visitors to your web site
or readers of your newsletter click
on and get redirected to the
campaign's landing page.
- Cost-per-lead
(CPA): With CPA campaigns, you
earn commissions based upon visitors
to your website clicking on an ad,
arriving at the campaigns landing
page and completing the signup form.
For you to receive credit for these
visitors they must complete the
entire signup process and arrive at
the finishing thank-you page.
- Cost-per-sale
(CPS): CPS campaigns are very
similar to CPA campaigns, except
that instead of simply signing up
for something, your visitor must
complete a sale. These campaigns pay
you based on the total amount of
completed sales.
Figure 1 shows a sample
campaign listing.
Figure 1 Campaign List
As you can see in this
example, you can easily determine the
type of campaign by the icons listed in
the column labeled type. CPC campaigns
have a C icon, CPA campaigns have an L
icon and CPS campaigns have an S icon.
This screen also provides
you with the name of the campaign, the
starting date of the campaign, a brief
descriptions, whether the program
expires based upon a date or clicks, the
payout amount for the campaign and the
current effective CPC of the campaign.
For non-click based
campaigns, the EPC is only to give you a
feel for the amount you may be able to
earn. It is computed by simply taking
the total commissions generated thus far
by all s and dividing by the
total number of clicks. Very early in a
campaign's life-cycle this number could
be quite skewed either positively or
negatively.
Once you've found a
campaign you would like to run, clicking
on the name will bring you to the
campaign details screen. A sample of
this screen is shown in Figure 2.
This screen provides you
with detailed information about the
commissions being offered and the
current number of clicks, leads or sales
the campaign has generated. This screen
is also where you obtain the creative
materials necessary for you to run the
campaign on your website or within your
newsletter.
There are two basic ways
that you can run campaigns on your
website - either by using random banner
rotation or by embedding a specific
piece of creative (text or image) and
the required html link.
Once you embed the random
banner rotation code within your
website, you can add or change the
banners within your rotation at any
time, either by viewing the details of a
campaign and selecting Add or Remove for
a particular banner and then clicking
the Update Banner Selections button or
by Selecting Banner Rotation from the
main Campaigns menu listing.
If you do not choose to
use banner rotation, you can embed the
banners for a campaign within your
website or newsletter by copying the
HTML snippet from the box below the
desired banner and pasting into your
HTML. This code tells our tracking
software which banner to display and
identifies your account to the
system for tracking purposes. It's very
important to copy and paste this code
exactly as it is shown or you may not
receive proper credit for the traffic
your site is generating.

Overview Explanation of our Financial Reporting
Here's some handy tips on interpreting the financial
information on your Affiliate Payments page to help you make
sense of the data.
The Commissions Cleared to be Paid column refers to:
all the transactions you've referred to us since your last
payment,
which have been approved by the advertiser
we have invoiced and received payment from the advertiser
and have allocated to you for payment on your next payment
run.
The Amount Pending refers to everything you've earned since
your last payment run up to the current date. This can
change as advertisers approve sales and leads, add or change
sales values or update statuses. Consider it a running total
of your progress.
Total Commissions To Date is pretty self explanatory. That's
everything you've ever earned from us.
the formula is: (Total Paid To Date + Amount Cleared to be
Paid) = Total Commissions earned to Date
The Table at the bottom is a reconciliation showing the
individual payments we've made to you. If you don't see any
data here, then we have not made any payments yet.
